Sliding T bevels enable you to copy an existing angle or set a new angle (by using a protractor, etc.). This lightweight but sturdy aluminum Sliding T Bevel is made by Shinwa, a leading Japanese toolmaker, and is based on the famous Stanley number 18 with a locking screw at the bottom (so the bevel could flipped for use on either side).

The theory behind this design is that you are able to set the bevel, lock the blade, and scribe lines without the locking mechanism getting in the way. The other important thing is that the blade must positively lock in place.

Blade Length: 8". Blade Width: 7/8". Blade Thickness: 1/2". Base: 5". Made in Japan.
