Festool just discontinued this legendary TSC 55K Cordless Track Saw and replaced it with the TSC 55 KSEB-F. We have just one of these left, and we’re going to make the case why you might want it.
The TSC 55K comes in a Plus Set that includes the Track Saw TSC 55 K, dust collection bag, Splinterguard, 42 tooth Fine Tooth blade, flag window/vision panel, hex key, two Lithium Ion 18V 5.2Ah ASI Battery Packs and one TCL6 Charger in SYS3 M 437.
While it is true that the new version has advantages (go to that product page to learn about them), if you are looking to use your corded and cordless TS 55s almost interchangeably, or if you have already bought into a 5 Ah (or even a 4 Ah) battery system, you should be aware that the TSC 55 KSEB-F has thinner kerf blades that will not work with your corded TS 55 and that the new saw is designed to work with an 8 Ah battery as a single battery.
They are both great saws, both with an anti-kickback stop, precise cuts and the best dust collection available.
The TSC works brilliantly with Festool's guide rails, saw table, angle stop and splinter guard. The saw’s transparent sliding viewing window and the additional markings for the starting and end point provide a good view of the saw blade.
The Note: The Kickback Stop can be deactivated manually as desired, for example, when working on uneven material without a guide track The Kickback Stop will be automatically reactivated the next time the saw is switched on for maximum user protection.
Also note: The thinner kerf TSCK blades are not compatible or interchangeable with earlier models of the TSC55 (pre-2021) or TS 55 (pre-2022 - yes, the models came out in different years). We stock these blades under the product code FS-TS55AA.
